It has strong typing, but is built on top of the JVM, so it has access to all of the JVM's libraries. ## Installing The easiest way to install Scala is to install [Coursier](https://get-coursier.io/docs/overview), the Scala "artifact manager." It installs versions of the Scala language, toolset, and even specific versions of the JVM.
